Getting There

Phuket International-Airport, welcoming flights from all regional hubs as well as connections from Europe and the US, is only 35 km north of Patong. Connecting from the airport by taxi can range from US$8 to US$15, depending on whether you take a “limousine” taxi or one that runs on the meter. Minibuses cost about US$4, while the cheapest connection would be by airport shuttle bus to Phuket Town, then a local bus to reach Patong that costs only 20 baht (about US$0.50).
