Anemone Reef – Hin Jom

A spectacular and unique diving spot located on east of Phuket half way to Phi Phi Islands, Anemone Reef. Passing by here in anemone reef, you can see huge of tropical fish, groupers, snappers, bright blue anemones squeezed different kind of clown fish like the famous Nemo western clown fish, tomato anemone fish, pink, Clarks, anthias and damsel fish add colour to the view.
The Thai name for Anemone is Hin Jom define as submerged or under water rock, Enormous lime stone pinnacle that soars at a depth of 20 to 30 meters up from the seafloor reaching a bottom of oyster shells and sand. However this site is not colourful as Shark Point, but the life of fish here is admirable, leopards shark often seen at a depth of 6 meters of water while lionfish that encountered in a group more than 12 seems to move around place so one dive is not enough to see this beautiful creatures.
Diving around anemone is a better chance of seeing boxer shrimp, hinge beak shrimp, sea snakes, scorpion fish, harlequin ghost pipefish, tigertail seahorse and moray eels. You will see also a porcelain crabs on the boundary of carpet anemones as well as anemone shrimp. On the top of the rock of anemones is the highest concentration where bright light condition covers the area that is best for divers particularly for the underwater photographers for they will experience an amazing and striking undersea adventure.
